Hello fellow Realtors and Affiliates,
I hope this Spring is finally kicking in and treating you well.
We successfully held our 2026 Ignite Event at the Hyatt on March 12th, and it was well attended. Thanks again to Tricia Wilson, Chessie Knapp and our staff for all their hard work to reorganize this event after our snow cancellation- below are a few photos from the event.
Speaking of hard-working staff, I am sorry to share that Jen Gloede is leaving us, and I wish her the best on her move to Colorado. Jen will be monitoring a couple more classes at BAAR so hopefully some of you have a chance to see her before she leaves.

We are happy to share that we have another Jen who joined the team; she will be handling the Education coordination along with other administrative duties. Please join me in welcoming Jen Herlihy to the BAAR team!
Save the date for our next event, the Legislative Wrap-Up, on May 6th at the Kent Island Yacht Club. We are still in the planning stages but will be sending out the flyer and registration information soon- stay tuned!

Ethics, Broker Relationship & Disclosures, Fair Housing, Legal & Legislative Update and Contract Law Review CE classes are recorded by Maryland Realtors and monitored by BAAR.
Please keep the following in mind:

- Please sign in 10 minutes before class starts to make sure you do not have any technical difficulties.
- Change your Zoom screen name to: "BAAR - [FIRST][LAST]."
- Your camera must be on and your face in full view of the camera throughout the entire class.
- You should not work on other tasks during the class including, but not limited to, talking on your phone, driving, other meetings, etc.
- Do not log out during breaks as it requires re-entry.
- Please familiarize yourself with Zoom's Chat feature as the BAAR monitor will send a direct message to you if you appear to be in violation of the rules.

Eastern Shore Housing Market Report

Inventory growth weakens as new listing activity stalls. Sellers on the Maryland Eastern Shore haven’t been active in 2026. Following lower new listings in January, listing activity in February plummeted compared to last year, down 30.5%.
With sellers holding back, there were just 863 active listings on the market at the end of the month. Inventory typically expands during the spring market. Yet as we enter March, active listings on the Maryland Eastern Shore dropped 3.5% from January to February and were only 5.5% above last year.
