Hello everyone,
As we officially transition into November, I want to share two critically important updates: Primary and Secondary agent membership renewal and our upcoming Winter General/Installation Meeting and Holiday Party.
Action Required: Membership Renewal Deadlines
As you know, your 2026 Primary and Secondary Membership Renewal Invoice was emailed to you on October 31st. Prompt payment is essential to ensure you maintain continuous access to all of your valuable BAAR, Maryland REALTORS®, and NAR services.
Please review your invoice carefully and adhere to the following schedule:

- Payment Deadline: Full payment is due by November 30th.
- Late Fee Application: A late fee will be applied to all accounts with an outstanding balance after the November 30th deadline.
- Final Drop Date: If your balance remains unpaid by December 30th, your membership will be automatically dropped.
Please take a few moments to log in and settle your invoice today to avoid late fees and any disruption to your business tools and benefits.
Celebrate the Season: Winter General/Installation Meeting & Holiday Party
I encourage everyone to register and join us for our most anticipated event of the year: the Winter General/Installation Meeting and Holiday Party!
We will be gathering on Tuesday, December 3rd, at the Hyatt Place in Grasonville to officially install our incoming leadership, celebrate the association's achievements, and enjoy a wonderful holiday celebration.
The registration deadline is November 17. Please ensure you register before this cutoff date so we can finalize our arrangements.

Membership Dues Schedule and Payment Information:
- November: BAAR Primary & Secondary Memberships renew.
- January: BAAR Affiliate Memberships renew.
- March: SentriLock Memberships renew.
Please note:
- BAAR does not store credit cards on file and does not offer any autopay options.
- To make a dues payment, members must pay by one of the following ways:
- Online with a credit/debit card through their BAAR member account
- Online with a credit/debit card by clicking the link provided on the bottom of the dues' invoice
- Over the phone with a credit/debit card by calling the BAAR office during business hours

Bay Area Association of Realtors® congratulates Biana Arentz as she will be installed as BAAR’s Vice President on December 3, 2025. With this transition, Biana’s seat as Director on BAAR’s Board of Directors will become vacant on December 3.
BAAR is now seeking statements of interest from individuals who are interested in filling the BAAR Director position, to be effective after the Installation meeting in December. Anyone interested should email info@bayarearealtors.com by COB Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Please note that the BAAR Board of Directors will vote to fill the vacancy after the Installation meeting on December 3.

ONLINE CE CLASS REMINDERS!
All online CE classes are recorded and monitored by Maryland Realtors and BAAR. Please keep the following in mind:
- Please sign in 10 minutes before class starts to make sure you do not have any technical difficulties.
- Change your Zoom screen name to: "BAAR – [your name]."
- Your camera must be on and your face in full view of the camera throughout the class.
- You should not work on other tasks during the class including, but not limited to, talking on your phone, driving, other meetings, etc.
- Do not log out during breaks as it requires re-entry.
- Please familiarize yourself with Zoom's Chat feature as the BAAR monitor will send a direct message to you if you appear to be in violation of the rules.

QAC Christmas Angels Fundraiser Auction
|
On October 17, BAAR partnered with QAC Christmas Angels to host the third annual fundraiser auction at the Kent Island Elks Lodge. The purpose of this event was to raise money for the QAC Christmas Angels organization, whose mission is to fulfill Christmas wish lists for children in Queen Anne’s County.
Attendees not only adopted children to purchase Christmas gifts for but also took part in a live auction conducted by auctioneer Jesse Dixon. Local organizations and businesses generously donated gift baskets and items for the silent auction, giving guests plenty of opportunities to bid and contribute to a great cause.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the event raised $20,000!
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered to make this evening such a wonderful success. Together, we’re helping make the holidays brighter for children across Queen Anne’s County.

KIHS Baseball Team's Golf Fundraiser
On October 27, incoming BAAR President, Ken Roderick, teamed up with members Trent Riggs and Tom Draper for a great day of golf at Prospect Bay Country Club—all in support of the Kent Island High School baseball team!

Mobile Blood Drive
On October 28, BAAR partnered with Luminis Health to sponsor a blood drive at Cult Class Brewing in Kent Island. In total, 21 pints were donated, and we'd like to thank our members who participated in this life-saving event!

The Maryland Tenants' Bill of Rights is available and must be included with all residential rental leases effective July 1, 2025.

Bright - MLS Research Commentary
Lower rates have been bringing some buyers into the market, but according to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association, the recent drop in rates has primarily increased refinance activity rather than purchase activity. Affordability is still a constraint even as rates have fallen to their lowest level in a year. And consumers are generally feeling more cautious amidst growing economic uncertainty.
