President's Message
May is upon us and hopefully we have some consistent warm temperatures as we wrap up the Spring market.
If you have not done so, please register for next week's Legislative Session Wrap-Up event at the Kent Island Yacht Club. While we enjoy breakfast, we will hear an overview of the recent legislative session featuring our local delegates. This *free* event is always informative and gives us a chance to interact with our local delegates. Thanks again to Tricia Wilson and BAAR staff for setting this up.
BAAR is pleased to announce we have partnered with Kent Island Beach Cleanups and scheduled a Volunteer Day on May 30 to clean up Terrapin Nature Park, during NAR's recognized Volunteer Week.

This is our chance to show the community how local Realtors and Affiliates have a vested interest in preserving our parks, beaches, and the market we sell in. The Volunteer Day flyer is below; we hope to have a strong participation from our members (friends and family are welcome!). Please sign-up so we can have an accurate headcount.
The BAAR building has office spaces available for rent if you have any clients looking for such. Please contact Jen Herlihy in BAAR's office if interested.
We would like to congratulate Erin Miller on her one-year anniversary with BAAR and hopefully that is one of many.

Tuesday, May 5: Condos and HOA CE Class
Learn how to differentiate the types of Condos (warrantable vs. non-warrantable), identify responsibilities of all stakeholders (buyer, seller, and agents), in a condo transaction, and define HOA types and impacts on real estate transactions. Class will be taught by Jackie Northrop with First Home Mortgage.

ONLINE CE CLASS REMINDERS
Ethics, Broker Relationship & Disclosures, Fair Housing, Legal & Legislative Update and Contract Law Review CE classes are recorded by Maryland Realtors and monitored by BAAR.
Please keep the following in mind:

- Please sign in 10 minutes before class starts to make sure you do not have any technical difficulties.
- Change your Zoom screen name to: "BAAR - [FIRST][LAST]."
- Your camera must be on and your face in full view of the camera throughout the entire class.
- You should not work on other tasks during the class including, but not limited to, talking on your phone, driving, other meetings, etc.
- Do not log out during breaks as it requires re-entry.
- Please familiarize yourself with Zoom's Chat feature as the BAAR monitor will send a direct message to you if you appear to be in violation of the rules.
