Hello, fellow Realtors and Affiliates,
I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day. We have several upcoming CE classes scheduled to take place at BAAR's office that hopefully you can take advantage of-- don't forget, they're free for our members! Scroll down in this newsletter to view the CE class flyers and all details; be sure to sign-up for the classes via our events calendar.
This past Saturday, BAAR participated in the beach cleanup at Terrapin Nature Park. I would like to commend Erin for her efforts organizing this event and thanks to the participants for their time and effort. We will be discussing collaborating with this venture again in September and hopefully get more of our members involved.

BAAR's Activities and Events Committee, led by Tricia Wison, is actively planning several fun events, so please keep a look out for them as we will be sharing more details soon.
The Board and staff are continuously working to improve your BAAR experience as well as maintaining the building and its tenants, so please contact us with any ideas to fulfill that mission.

Thanks to all who participated in our 2026 Legislative Session Wrap-Up event at the Kent Island Yacht Club on May 6th. It was great to be with you and to learn about recent legislature from Delegates Arentz and Jacobs, Senator Mautz, and our partners at Maryland REALTORS.

AI For Real Estate CE (F)
Learn how AI can help your client communication, marketing, branding, content creation, lead generation and transaction management. You will walk away with an understanding of all the AI tools every agent should know. This class will be taught by Jon Wald with Main Street Home Loans.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Mold CE (F)
The goal of this class is class is to educate real estate agents on mold as it relates to concerns, locations, causes and remediation. Some of the information covered in this class is mold testing, causes of mold, where is mold found, health concerns with mold and remediation.

Thursday, June 11:
18th and 19th Century American Homes CE (F)
Enhance your real estate expertise with this engaging course focused on the rich architectural history of the 18th and 19th centuries. You'll explore key architectural styles including Colonial, Georgian, Federal, and Greek Revival, along with iconic Victorian-era design elements. Gain a deeper understanding of distinctive features such as staircases, mantels, and ornamental moldings, while expanding your architectural vocabulary. Perfect for professionals looking to better recognize and communicate the historical value of older homes.

Tuesday, June 16:
Wood Destroying Insect Inspection CE (F)
Register for this informative class focused on Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspections and their importance in real estate transactions. This course will cover what a WDI inspection includes, who is qualified to perform them, and why they matter for buyers, sellers, lenders, and Realtors. Topics include identifying termite activity, understanding inspection reports and recommendations, protecting clients from costly surprises, and avoiding post-settlement issues.

Tuesday, June 23:
Fraud Protection for Realtors CE (F)
Fraud in real estate transactions is on the rise, and Realtors are often the first line of defense. This continuing education class will help agents recognize common scams, identify red flags in seller impersonation and email fraud, and implement best practices to protect clients and transactions. Topics include spotting suspicious communication, verifying seller identity, avoiding wire and title fraud, and using practical safeguards throughout the transaction process. A timely and valuable course designed to help Realtors reduce risk, protect consumers, and stay ahead of evolving fraud tactics.

ZOOM CE CLASS REMINDERS
Ethics, Broker Relationship & Disclosures, Fair Housing, Legal & Legislative Update and Contract Law Review CE classes are recorded by Maryland Realtors and monitored by BAAR.
Please keep the following in mind:

- Please sign in 10 minutes before class starts to make sure you do not have any technical difficulties.
- Change your Zoom screen name to: "BAAR - [FIRST][LAST]."
- Your camera must be on and your face in full view of the camera throughout the entire class.
- You should not work on other tasks during the class including, but not limited to, talking on your phone, driving, other meetings, etc.
- Do not log out during breaks as it requires re-entry.
- Please familiarize yourself with Zoom's Chat feature as the BAAR monitor will send a direct message to you if you appear to be in violation of the rules.

Each Monday, BAAR will promote any Broker Open Tours that are scheduled in the Bright MLS system (by the Agent). If you have a Broker Open Tour scheduled in the near future and want BAAR to promote it for you, be sure to enter it into Bright MLS by Monday morning of that week.
