President's Message
Happy October, fellow REALTORS® and Affiliates!
We look forward to seeing everyone this Wednesday at the Kent Island Yacht Club for our General Membership Meeting, graciously sponsored by Carol Frase (Goosehead Insurance). The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and members will be asked to approve the proposed slate of Officers and Directors for the coming year, and vote on changes to our Bylaws. Be sure to bring some cash for our 50/50 raffle, which supports the BAAR Charitable Fund.
Last week, Erin Miller, Biana Arentz, Tricia Wilson, Dana Bergman, myself, and several other BAAR members attended the Maryland REALTORS® Annual Convention in Ocean City. It was a valuable experience, and I highly recommend future attendance to our members who were not able to make it this year.

Please note that effective October 1, there were several updates to Statewide Maryland Forms. Click here to watch Maryland REALTORS®' Forms Update video and be sure you are using the most current versions in your transactions which can be found in the Maryland REALTORS state and local forms library.
📣Realtors: your annual dues renewal invoices will be sent in the beginning of November; deadline to pay in full is November 30. A late fee will be applied on December 1, so please watch for the renewal email and plan accordingly. If your email address has changed recently, please notify the BAAR office (info@bayarearealtors.com).
We're also planning a Happy Hour Mixer at Uno Mas in Centreville on Tuesday, November 10. Watch your email for details coming soon.
Finally, please save the date for our Installation and Holiday Celebration/General Membership Meeting on December 3 at Dock House on Kent Narrows. This year's event will feature a different format than our traditional luncheon, and we're excited to share more details soon.

2026-2027 BAAR Membership Dues Schedule and Payment Information:
- November 2026: BAAR Realtor Memberships renew.
- January 2027: BAAR Affiliate Memberships renew.
- March 2027: SentriLock Memberships renew.

Please note:
- You will not be able to renew your membership if you have an outstanding balance.
- BAAR does not store credit cards on file and does not offer any autopay options.
- To make a dues payment, members must pay by one of the following ways:
- Online with a credit/debit card through their BAAR member account
- Online with a credit/debit card by clicking the link provided on the dues' invoice
- Over the phone with a credit/debit card by calling the BAAR office during business hours
- If dues are not paid by the deadline, there will be a late fee applied.

ZOOM CE CLASS REMINDERS
Ethics, Broker Relationship & Disclosures, Fair Housing, Legal & Legislative Update and Contract Law Review CE classes are recorded by Maryland Realtors and monitored by BAAR.
Please keep the following in mind:

- Please sign in 10 minutes before class starts to make sure you do not have any technical difficulties.
- Change your Zoom screen name to: "BAAR - [FIRST][LAST]."
- Your camera must be on and your face in full view of the camera throughout the entire class.
- You should not work on other tasks during the class including, but not limited to, talking on your phone, driving, other meetings, etc.
- Do not log out during breaks as it requires re-entry.
- Please familiarize yourself with Zoom's Chat feature as the BAAR monitor will send a direct message to you if you appear to be in violation of the rules.

Each Monday, BAAR will promote any Broker Open Tours that are scheduled in the Bright MLS system (by the Agent). If you have a Broker Open Tour scheduled in the near future and want BAAR to promote it for you, be sure to enter it into Bright MLS by Monday morning of that week.
